Description
A middle sized evergreen tree with short trunk and spreading crown. Leaves generally glossy green, distichous, oblong or narrowly oblong, subacute or obtuse, coriaceous, smooth, glabrous. Flowers are tetramerous and white or green coloured; male flowers in clusters while female ones solitary. Fruit globose, about 2 inches across, yellowish when ripe. Generally found all over the Brahmaputra valley.
